The mountains in Cape Town

Cape Town is beautiful. I love the beach and mountains overlapping, an incredible background for a new place. I got to spend a few wonderful days wandering and eating with Annie Beckhelling, an inspirational woman who works for cheetah conservation at her program Cheetah Outreach while also truly enjoying every day and thing she does.

We spent time in Cape Town, then traveled a bit into the Karoo semi-desert region and the wine country. Here are more pictures below; they’re better than anything I could write!

Tomorrow morning I fly back to Johannesburg and meet my group in my OTS program by the bakery/fruit stand in the airport before we head to Kruger National Park. I’m excited and nervous, unsure of what’s to come but ready for an adventure that will include being nearer to the animals who I came here to see.

beautiful king cheetah cub!

a caracal!

Can Zaza run faster than Sarah? (I'm biased.)
